We are Hakuro bakery in Kyotango City, Kyoto Prefecture.
We are passionate about traditional bread-making practices while also experimenting with new-age baking techniques and ingredients.
Every weekend, our home was filled with the warm, inviting smells coming from the oven. Seeing the joy our bread brought to friends and family inspired us to take a bold step, leave our corporate lives and put everything into opening our own little bakery in Kyoto.
Hakuro is our labor of love, where tradition meets a personal touch.
Our menu is rooted in traditional bread making from both Japan and European heritage.
We try to blend to blend the best of both worlds to offer something novel and exciting yet familiar and comforting.
