Post-it exercise

  1. Each person grabs a stack of post-it notes.
  2. Brainstorm ideas together for potential improvements to your home — furniture purchases, organization projects, renovations, etc. Each idea should be written on two post-its, one for each person.
  3. Once you have ~15 ideas written down, start placing your stack of post-its on a wall or window, with your favorite ideas at the top, and least favorite at the bottom. No peeking at each other’s post-its until you’re done!
  4. Talk each other through your list, and why you chose the prioritization you did. Take note of any ideas where you’re clearly aligned or misaligned.
  5. Write down your takeaways from this session below. If you like, start assigning a timeline for when you’d like to complete these projects.
