Post-it exercise
- Each person grabs a stack of post-it notes.
- Brainstorm ideas together for what your life could look like in 10 years. Think big. Bigger! Having kids, or more kids? Vacation home? Live abroad? Debt-free? A Porsche? Each idea should be written on two post-its, one for each person.
- Once you have ~15 ideas written down, start placing your stack of post-its on a wall or window, with your favorite ideas at the top, and least favorite at the bottom. No peeking at each other’s post-its until you’re done!
- Talk each other through your list, and why you chose the prioritization you did. Take note of any goals where you’re clearly aligned or misaligned.
- Write down your takeaways from this session below. If you like, start breaking down these larger goals into more achievable mini-goals that you can make progress on in the next year.
