Motion-Sensor Lightbulbs Troubleshooting Guide
- Check the Power Supply: Make sure the lightbulb is properly installed in a socket that has an active power supply.
- Test the Bulb in Another Fixture: If the bulb is not lighting up, try installing it in another light fixture to rule out any issues with the original fixture.
- Inspect the Sensor: Ensure the motion sensor is not obstructed by any object and is clean from dust or dirt.
- Check the Range and Field of View: Make sure the motion detector's range and field of view are correctly set to detect movement in the desired areas.
- Adjust Sensitivity Settings: If the bulb is not responding to motion, it might be due to low sensitivity settings. Adjust these settings as needed.
- Check for Interference: Electronic devices or metallic surfaces near the sensor could interfere with its operation. If possible, remove potential sources of interference.
- Reset the Bulb: If the above steps don't resolve the issue, try resetting the bulb. Turn the light switch off, wait for about 5 seconds, and then turn it back on.
