These Notion AI and Notion Credit Supplementary Terms (“Notion AI and Notion Credit Terms”) form a part of the Personal Use Terms of Service and the Master Subscription Agreement, as applicable, between you and Notion (the “Agreement”). These Notion AI and Notion Credit Terms apply to your access and use of Notion Credits, any Notion AI feature(s) and, if applicable, your Notion AI Add-on Subscription and as otherwise contemplated herein. Any terms used herein have the same meaning as in the Agreement. For the purposes of these Notion AI and Notion Credit Terms and where the Personal Use Terms of Service apply, any reference to Customer Data shall also mean User Content.

Definitions

“Annual Notion Credits” means an additional annual allocation of Notion Credits that are purchased as an Add-on Subscription and may be drawn from when Monthly Notion Credits are exhausted. Any unused Annual Notion Credits expire at the end of the applicable annual subscription period.

“Automated Action” means the capability within the Services to, including but not limited to, initiate multi‑step plans, call tools and execute tasks, both via an active user chat session or through scheduled or event‑based triggers, within your Notion Workspace or within any Non-Notion Service(s).

“Monthly Notion Credits” means Notion Credits that are included with each User Subscription based on the Subscription Plan. Monthly Notion Credits are refreshed monthly on the day of the month corresponding to the start date of your Subscription Term. Any unused Monthly Notion Credits expire at the end of the applicable subscription month. Monthly Notion Credits are allocated for added Users only when an in-product purchase has been completed, a True-Up has been completed and the applicable invoice has been paid, or where an Order Form has been executed for the additional User(s). Monthly Notion Credits are subject to the maximum allocations as specified at www.notion.com/pricing and allocations are subject to change at any time in Notion's sole discretion.

“Notion AI” means all features and functionalities provided by Notion within the Services that utilize artificial intelligence models. These AI capabilities may be identified as such within these Notion AI and Notion Credit Terms, the Documentation, Notion’s website, or within the Services interface. Notion AI functionality will evolve over time.

“Notion Credits” means usage credits that are applied when a User takes certain actions or uses certain features or functionality, including when utilizing certain Notion AI features or initiating an Automated Action. Subcategories of Notion Credits are Monthly Notion Credits, Annual Notion Credits, and On-Demand Notion Credits.

“Notion Credit Fees” means the Subscription Fees associated with applicable Notion Credits.

“Notion Credit Limit” means the total number of Notion Credits available to a Customer. The applicable Notion Credit Limit equals Monthly Notion Credits + Annual Notion Credits (as applicable).

“On-Demand Notion Credits” means Notion Credits that are available when the Notion Credit Limit is met. On-Demand Notion Credits are billed quarterly in arrears as they are consumed. Only Customers on designated Subscription Plans are eligible for On-Demand Notion Credits.

Terms

Notion Credit Consumption. Notion Credits will be applied when Customer takes actions or uses features or functionality that are subject to Notion Credits, whether triggered by Customer or a Non-Notion Service, including through any Automated Action. Notion Credits will be consumed in the following order: Monthly Notion Credits then Annual Notion Credits. Where applicable, On-Demand Credits will apply when Monthly Notion Credits and Annual Notion Credits are exhausted. When a Customer's Notion Credit Limit is reached and On-Demand Notion Credits are not available, access to features and functionality that consume Notion Credits may be suspended until Notion Credits are refreshed or additional Notion Credits are purchased. The amount of Notion Credits that apply to a particular action will be determined by a variety of factors, which may include the complexity of the action, the artificial intelligence model used, the amount of data impacted, and the feature utilized. Information regarding how Notion Credits are calculated can be found here. Notion Credits are not transferable, refundable or redeemable for any other Subscription Fees. Notion Credits expire if not used within the period applicable to such Notion Credits and therefore do not rollover. Unless otherwise specified in the Documentation or these Notion AI and Notion Credit Terms, Notion Credits expire one (1) month from issuance.

Modifications to Notion Credits and Notion Credit Limits. Artificial intelligence technology and related costs are evolving rapidly as service providers innovate, new features and capabilities emerge, and new artificial intelligence models are released. Notion reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify Notion Credit calculations and Notion Credit allocations. Any such modifications will be reflected here.

Fair Usage. Your use of Notion AI is subject to fair usage restrictions. You can read more here.

Improving Notion AI. Notion does not use your Customer Data or permit others to use your Customer Data to train the artificial intelligence and machine learning models used to provide Notion AI.  Your use of Notion AI does not grant Notion any right or license to your Customer Data to train our artificial intelligence or machine learning models.

Artificial intelligence and machine learning models can improve over time to better address specific use cases.  We may use data we collect from your use of Notion AI to improve our models when you (i) voluntarily provide Feedback to us such as by labeling Output with a thumbs up or thumbs down; or (ii) give us your permission.

Input and Output. You may provide input to be processed by Notion AI (“Input”), and receive output generated and returned by Notion AI based on the Input (“Output”). When you use Notion AI, Input and Output are your Customer Data. You are solely responsible for the development, content, operation, maintenance, and use of your Customer Data. You will ensure that your Input and use of Notion AI and Output will not (i) violate any applicable law; (ii) violate these Notion AI and Notion Credit Terms, the Agreement or our Content and Use Policy; or (iii) infringe, violate, or misappropriate any of our rights or the rights of any third party. You acknowledge that due to the nature of machine learning and the technology powering Notion AI features, Output may not be unique and Notion AI may generate the same or similar output to Notion or a third party.

Notion AI Feature Use Restrictions. You may not use Notion AI or Output (i) to develop foundation models or other large scale models that compete with Notion or Notion AI; (ii) to mislead any person that Output from the Services was solely human generated; (iii) to generate spam or content for dissemination in electoral campaigns, or (iv) in a manner that violates any technical documentation, usage guidelines, or parameters.

Automated Features. Customer controls the configuration of Automated Actions via Workspace permissions, integrations with Non-Notion Service(s), and scheduled and event‑based triggers, and is responsible for all Automated Actions within its Workspace and their usage of Notion Credits.

WARRANTY DISCLAIMER. NOTION DOES NOT MAKE ANY WARRANTY AS TO THE RESULTS THAT MAY BE OBTAINED FROM THE USE OF NOTION AI OR THE ACCURACY OF ANY OTHER INFORMATION OBTAINED THROUGH NOTION AI. YOU UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT ANY MATERIAL AND/OR DATA OBTAINED THROUGH THE USE OF ANY NOTION AI FEATURE, AND USE OF AUTOMATED ACTIONS WITHIN YOUR WORKSPACE AND/OR WITH ANY NON-NOTION SERVICE(S), IS DONE AT YOUR SOLE RISK. YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR MONITORING ALL AUTOMATED ACTIONS WITHIN YOUR WORKSPACE AND ANY NON-NOTION SERVICE(S). YOU SHOULD NOT RELY ON FACTUAL ASSERTIONS IN OUTPUT WITHOUT INDEPENDENTLY FACT CHECKING THEIR ACCURACY. OUTPUT THAT APPEARS ACCURATE BECAUSE OF ITS DETAIL OR SPECIFICITY MAY STILL CONTAIN MATERIAL INACCURACIES. OUTPUT MAY NOT ACCOUNT FOR EVENTS OR CHANGES TO UNDERLYING FACTS OCCURRING AFTER THE AI MODEL WAS TRAINED. NO INFORMATION OR ADVICE, WHETHER ORAL OR WRITTEN, OBTAINED BY YOU FROM NOTION OR THROUGH NOTION AI SHALL CREATE ANY WARRANTY NOT EXPRESSLY MADE HEREIN.
