This guide outlines how to set up a Custom Agent that “lives” in Slack and answers questions using your Notion knowledge base. You describe the workflow and knowledge sources once. The agent then handles repeated Q&A for the whole team.
With this setup, your team can:

Installed and approve the Slack AI Connector for your Notion workspace.

Example instruction snippet:
“You are an internal Q&A agent for our support and product teams.
Use the ‘Support Knowledge Base’ database and the ‘Product FAQ’ page as your primary sources of truth.
Answer questions in clear, concise language and include links back to the most relevant Notion page.
If you can’t find a reliable answer, say you’re not sure, explain what’s missing, and suggest who or where to ask next.”
