<aside> 🏅 Notion’s integration for Slack makes it easy to share and store info, get updates, and drive workflows between the two tools

Companies use Slack and Notion to share company knowledge, but context can get lost when the conversation happens in one place and the documentation is in another (e.g. bug tracking and filing, user feedback to product roadmap plans). Teams can also lose track of progress on work that’s being done and tracked in Notion (e.g. PRDs and task status).
1️⃣ Send information from Slack to a Notion database At the end of a Slack thread, there are often actionable items that need to be recorded (e.g., tasks to be created, decisions to be logged, bugs to be filed). You can send a Slack message to a Notion database and can edit database properties directly in Slack
2️⃣ Control which notifications get sent to Slack
Database Notifications
Control which notifications get sent to a Slack channel using triggers like when a new page is added to a database or a property is updated (e.g. status of a task changes).
Personal Notifications
You can receive personal notifications in Slack if you choose to send database notifications to me
, or when someone @ mentions you in a page, database property, or comment.
You can also reply to Notion comments directly in Slack.
3️⃣ Share expandable links and add Notion members in Slack You can paste a Notion link in Slack that will automatically unfurl with useful information about the page you shared. You can also add teammates that don’t have access to the page.
4️⃣ Slack link previews
You can continue to paste links to any Slack message to see an up-to-date, live visualization of that message directly in Notion.
